01About this policy

This policy explains how HPA Software Pty Ltd (ABN 25 703 080 693) (“HPA”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This policy covers this website only. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy that explains how data inside the product is handled:

Information you give us

When you contact us, book a demo or sign up for updates, we may collect:

your name, email address and phone number
your company name and role
anything you choose to tell us in a message or booking form

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site running, secure and fast.

You can browse this website without telling us who you are. If you contact us, you can use a pseudonym, but we may need your real name and email to respond or set up a demo.

tell you about HPA products, where you’ve agreed to hear from us
operate, secure and improve this website
meet our legal obligations

04Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. This site may set a small functional cookie that remembers your language preference. We don’t currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we’ll update this policy first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as expected.

06Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. When this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in line with the APPs.

07Security & retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit and access controls.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.

08Access & correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email us at developer@hpasoftware.com. We’ll respond as soon as we reasonably can, and we won’t charge you for making a request.

If you’re in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the GDPR, such as the right to object to processing or to data portability. Contact us and we’ll help.

09Marketing emails

We’ll only send you marketing emails if you’ve agreed to receive them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), and you can opt out at any time.

10Children

This website is for businesses and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

11Complaints

If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, please email us at developer@hpasoftware.com first. We’ll acknowledge your complaint and work with you to resolve it.

If you’re not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

12Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and change the “last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know.
